So I’m in my fourth week of rolling out the Smart Start packs through working with principle teachers or going and speaking with head teachers and early years practitioners directly.
The first of the workshops took place in Tain with the help of Principal Teacher Crystal Thompson and then in Dingwall in the shape of Moira Mackenzie and Mairi Mackay, Principal Teachers in the Dingwall ASG (Associated School Groups) – nice to see these familiar faces who have been of great help.
The comments for the most part continue to be positive with staff identifying how they could slot Smart Start into practice and linking it to the new NHS Health Scotland guidance recently sent out called ‘Setting the table‘.
So my numbers over the last two weeks have taken a huge leap with 34 settings being reached with a potential 914 children! I can’t wait to see it in action so please remember to send me your photos and updates of how you are getting on.
Thank you!
